A rural town with a rich historical musical
legacy. Home of the world-renowned
“Le Studio” which turned out many classic
Albums by the likes of Rush, The Rolling

Which was the local bar that hosted live
music and drew crowds from far and

This unique environment instilled a
a love of music very early on in Nore

unfortunately being so secluded brought
it’s own obstacles in terms of learning
and finding gear to practice with during
the late 90’s early 2000’s after Le Studio
had been permanently shut down due to
a tragic fire. Internet came late to the
area and in those days it wasn’t what it
Is now.
Hip Hop became his best friend in a
in a place with not much to do and people
With whom he did not share much in
Common. It was the likes of Dr. Dre that
Inspired him to make beats in 2001 and an
edition of “SCRATCH” magazine that made
him interested in learning the art of DJing.
At the age of 17 Nore left home to
move to the city of Montreal. This is when
life truly began, he would start to spend
all his time learning all he could about DJing
and he would soon leave school behind to
work full time to start investing in
equipment. Starting off with 1 turntable and
a mixer Nore would begin his Quest to
learning to Dj by practicing the art of
Scratching on vinyl. Over time he would
finally afford a second turntable to begin
mixing. Once the foundation was set he
Would return the focus to his true passion
Of producing beats by investing in his first
midi keyboard, the Akai MPK-25 that came
with an intro version of Ableton Live. Again
without a mentor he would commence a
new journey of self-taught music
production.
It would be in 2011 when Nore would
reunite with his friend Jex,

Haitian born Kreyòl rapper. They would
start performing together that same year.
from radio galas to clubs they would go on
to perform at Montreal’s Carifiesta while
enlisting the help of a couple friends. This
would lead to the creation of Blackspydaz,
which would go on to include Jex, Nore
Quest as the DJ and Thunder Da Don
and Mizy.
The other group
members would convince Nore to try his
hand at rapping along with the rest of
them.
The group would later disband while
Nore would team up With Mizy and another
partner Naella to start MTLPlug, an
organization built with the aim of promoting
local artists in Montreal as well as building
network of creatives that could call on
each other for collaborations. Through this
endeavour, Nore went on to meet many
more artists in the scene including RoyyalT
Which led to an event with the 40:40
collective culminating in him being the
official DJ of the original 40:40.
After performing on some of the
Biggest stages in the city including Parc-
Jean-Drapeau, Corona Theatre, and Club
Soda, Traveling to Florida and New York to
meet people in the industry and film
Music videos, he would take a break from
Djing for other artists and switch his
focus back to his true passion of
producing beats. He would stay low key
for a few years while working on his craft,
before resurfacing as a DJ and
collaborating with artists from his past.
He would reunite with Jex which would lead
to meeting and performing with DJ Whookid
, and engineering sessions on beats
Produced by the legendary Red Spyda
featuring a verse by Desiigner.
He’d also reunite with Gripcity,
also formerly of 40:40, to continue
producing for his blossoming solo career.
